UNITE HERE’s national political program is built on the tenacity and grit of members just like you who take a leave of absence from their regular jobs to talk to voters throughout the country. As we get closer to the November 8 election day, members from across the country are leading a massive get-out-the-vote effort for a variety of state and local elections and for our next president.
Together, we are building a movement to enable people of all backgrounds to achieve greater equality and opportunity.
NEVADA
The Culinary Union in Las Vegas, the largest political organization in Nevada, is leading an effort to deliver the state to Hillary Clinton while our California locals have been doing the same thing in Reno. For Get Out the Vote, an additional 150 union members visiting from 16 UNITE HERE locals in 11 states will be converging on Nevada. Members will canvass every day to elect the nation’s first Latina senator, stop Republican healthcare tax schemes, and stand up for the America we all deserve.
