On Monday, February 28, ABC will begin airing its critically acclaimed mini-series WHEN WE RISE, which chronicles the American gay liberation movement through the real-life stories of activists Cleve Jones, Roma Guy, Ken Jones, Sally Gearhart and Cecilia Chung.
When UNITE HERE found out that DAY 2 of When We Rise would to be pre-empted by a televised address from President Trump, we thought – THAT’S NOT RIGHT.
So we’re organizing our own party. We’ll bring you Cleve Jones to share the stories behind both the ABC series and his own book about his experience growing in the movement for social justice.
Join us to hear more about his life in the movement and plans for taking back our country!
